Trent Franks writes an open letter to Barack Obama:
History found Abraham Lincoln a faithful steward of the hope, human dignity, and deliverance of those who bore the image of God in the shame of slavery; and now it waits to witness President Barack Obama’s stewardship of the hope, human dignity, and deliverance of those who bear the image of God in unborn silence.
Yes, it is true, Mr. President, that no issue since slavery has divided Democrats and Republicans so deeply as abortion. Yet, the two issues are so profoundly similar. In both cases, the innocent victims were arbitrarily dehumanized in the name of freedom. And yes, it will be easy for you to listen to the voices of those who still today, in the name of freedom, would deprive the innocent of both life and liberty. Certainly, their familiar phrases prevailed for a time in the days of slavery.
However, is it possible that in hindsight, and with the weight of history on your shoulders, that you might find the courage to reject this insidious deception that has crushed so many lives across history, and that relentlessly pursues this nation still?

Unlike President Obama, President Lincoln was a “free” man, unencumbered by a debt to Planned Parenthood for his election.
Planned Parenthood and other abortion mills like it have spent so much money and invested so much time in “buying” President Obama, he’s pretty much theirs for the next four years, and thereafter, if he hopes to get re-elected.
The issues of slavery and abortion may be profoundly similar, but Lincoln and Obama are not.
While I believe that abortion should be avoided in all cases as much as possible, I don’t believe that it is the right of any one interest group to tell an entire gender(female) of people what they can and can’t do with their reproductive system. Looking back on history it was Roe V. Wade that for the first time, in the history of mankind, women had control over their reproductive system. If you take a deeper look you will find that woman were usually subjugated by their male dominated societies to act as “baby making mills.” On the issue of campaign finance I beg to differ that Obama is at all beholden to Planned Parenthood. It would take a powerful interest group like “big oil” to buy off a president. If you have any proof regarding Planned Parenthood’s contributions to the Obama campaign then I urge you to post on this forum for my viewing pleasure.
I’ve always felt that with the global population pushing 7 billion and millions of those people starving to death, population control by whatever means is the only way to continue our species on the planet. That being said, if you don’t want an abortion, don’t have one; however, if you try to stop me in the pursuit of MY happiness (a lack of children, in this case) then you and I have a problem, friend.
PS- intelligent use of birth control prevents the necessity for abortions inthe first place, duh.
