Sen. John McCain doesn’t want to talk about the presidential campaign, and he certainly doesn’t want to discuss Sarah Palin.
But two months after losing the presidential race, the “old John McCain”‘ is back, hammering away on government reform, earmarks and wasteful government spending.
The classic McCain made his first appearance of the New Year on Tuesday with Sen. Russ Feingold (D-Wis.), his partner in campaign finance reform. The two unveiled new legislation designed to rein in the use of earmarks in annual spending bills.

Did you notice our Senator John McCain voted today against President Bush’s and President – Elect Barack Obama’s measure to release the 2nd half of our economic recovery bail-out dollars? I thought Senator McCain suspended his campaign to get back to Washington in order to support the issuance of the emergency funds. (?)
MCCAIN DID NOT VOTE AGAINST THE RELEASE HE VOTED FOR IT!!

McCain is speaking out against the bailout but voted for it. Just like he was for smaller government and only made it larger. He was for less taxes but voted to raise them 400+ times. He’s against abortion but wants exceptions in any ban on abortion.
I support the politicians that are voting this bailout down. So far this bailout hasn’t helped the economy at all. PNC Bank bought National City and National City branches are being closed down. Citibank lowered its dividends and raised its interest rates on its credit cards. So our tax dollars are being used to put our friends and neighbors out of work and forcing them to pay higher interest on their current debt. I guess if you want something done wrong have the government do it.
