It’s horrifying to think that our representatives would approve and implement recommendations from the 911 Commission. Not only do both Keane and Hamilton admit they were stonewalled by the Feds, but there’s mountains of evidence simply neglected by the Commission. There was also huge conflicts of interest among the members of the 911 Commission. Our group, 911truthtucson.org, had the fortunate opportunity to combat some of this ignorance in Giffords office, but we’re way too late.

    Walter Says:

If the Congress really wanted to do something, they would truly implement the 9/11 Commission recommendations. The biggest one — not included in this legislation — is to streamline Congressional oversight. There are more than 50 committees and subcommittees with Homeland Security oversight jurisdiction. The Commission recommended one joint committee that has both oversight and appropriations responsibility. Congress couldn’t see fit to tear down their fiefdoms for our national security.
