JD Hayworth issued the following statement today:
Given the regrettable and disturbing nature of the email Russell Pearce circulated earlier today, I cannot in good conscience lend my endorsement to his candidacy for State Representative. While Russell has issued an apology for his email, I nonetheless will not be associated with any communication that contains anti-Semitic remarks.
The remarks follow an apology by Pearce for e-mailing supporters an article from a hate group, National Alliance. Pearce explains that he “liked the first two paragraphs” of the web page and e-mailed it off before reading the whole thing. He apologized repeatedly for sending the e-mail and asked recipients to delete it.
Hayworth is listed at the top of Pearce’s endorsement page… let’s see if Trent Franks follows Hayworth’s lead.

Good for J.D., even ifwas done in self interest.
What a joke.
“mountain ahead!”
“eject, eject eject!”
Poor J.D.
If this is the first and only time Pearce has ever shown any anti-Semitic leanings, then I’d say it was an honest mistake. Has anyone ever skimmed something and made an error in judgement? I think JD might have jumped the gun on this but I do not know all of the facts. If this guy DID have a track record of anti-Semitism, he should never have gotten this far.
What the F**K was he doing surfing around a hate groups website anyway? Ya’ll should follow his career and his very rich record of ridiculous legislation.
I just don’t get where these people come from and how they get elected. I mean I know a lot of fine, smart, impressive conservatives out there with integrity. Where they hell are they now?
Ah, yes…just a few months ago JD was on the same side of that paddle with his accolades to Henry Ford in his book. JD’s compassion for a fellow Republican’s blunder is sickening. How can anyone trust him if he’s so quick to turn on his own?
This is ridiculous! JD should be absolutely ashamed of himself. Russell Pearce is one of Arizona’s best Representatives. He’s one of the few who really cares about the Constitution. If a man profusely apologizes for something, then we have this little thing called forgiveness. It is pitiful that Republicans continue their “Throw their own overboard” mentality. Russell Pearce is a truly decent American, and he has always put himself out there with strong legislation that protects Arizona. So, the Libs have always wanted to throw him overboard any chance that they get. Too bad, they don’t realize how popular Russell Pearce is in his home Legislative District, and that the more the Libs attack him, the more his supporters will rally around him. Hayworth, once again, shows that he’s a complete blowhard. He loves to try to talk the Conservative talk, but he does not walk the Conservative walk. Remember that JD was opposed to Proposition 200 in 2004 (just like everybody else on the Republican side) except Randy Pullen, Randy Graf, and Russell Pearce. So, what do you expect? JD’s campaign is in an absolute tailspin right now. There is a good chance at this point that JD could lose to some really old dude, and that would suck for Republicans. But it’s JD’s own fault for not putting his money where his mouth is.
Interesting how JD talks about not wanting to be associated with anti-Semetic remarks but says nothing about the racists remarks that comprise the central thesis of the article. Guess JD doesn’t have a problem with that. Just doesn’t want to piss off the Jews … any more than he already has.
I THINK RUSSELL PEARCE IS A TRUE PATRIOT, WE NEED TO STOP THE INVASION, BY MEXICO. AND STOP BUSH A CRONIES NORTH AMERICAN UNION, IT COMING AND NO BODY SEE’S THIS HAPPPEN, WAKE UP AMERICAN RUSSEL PEARCE CARES FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. AMERICA PEOPLE BETTER STAND TOGETHER.AND BACK RUSSELL PEARCE.
